Introducing an exciting new way to learn, get involved, and make a difference!

Tenth Dems U doesn't have a campus, hasn't hired a full-time faculty, and has no plans for homecoming festivities or fielding a football team. What we do offer, however, is a chance for you to become a better-educated voter, a more active and effective political volunteer, and to learn the skills you need if you ever want to run for public office.

Every month, Tenth Dems U will offer a new set of courses aimed at three groups of people:

Grassroots Volunteers
If you want to work for a candidate and help him/her get elected, we will have courses that train you to be a productive and valuable grassroots volunteer.
Potential Candidates
If you’ve ever thought about running for office, Tenth Dems U will have courses
that can help you acquire some of the skills and knowledge that it takes to be a successful candidate.
Educated Voters
What are the issues? Who are the candidates? What do they stand for? These are just some of the things we need to know when we cast our votes. Tenth Dems U will regularly offer courses to help make you a more educated voter…and a more productive member of our democratic society.

Tenth Dems U is open to all at no cost. To get started, simply take a look at the courses we have to offer, enroll , show up for class, and become a part of the solution to the problems that affect our society. That's what being a citizen in a democracy is all about. It's what being an American is all about. Tenth Dems U is the school that will help you acquire the skills and knowledge you need to do your job as a citizen of our great country.

Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are...a few...Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is neglible and they are stupid.

-- Dwight D. Eisenhower, November 8, 1954
